This well is located in Ramnagar Adivasi Para, a tribal village close to Bolpur, West Bengal, India. Inhabited by members of the Santal tribe the village is home to 110 families and around750 people. This well provides safe, clean and potable water to the community who previously had to trudge 2 kilometers each day to access water.
