This well is located in Raipur, a village near Shantiniketan, West Bengal, about 235 kilometers northwest of Kolkata, India.  Situated in a school run by the Nayantara Trust NGO, the school provides free educational and vocational training to tribal children to help them develop and break out the cycle of poverty. Our well provides safe drinking water to the children and teachers of the school as well as to the 300 inhabitants of the village.
