GOW # 6 

 

This well is located in Bahadurpur, a village near Bolpur, West Bengal, India. The village is a tribal village inhabited by members of the Santal tribe.  Average monthly income of a family (average 6 people per family) in this village is about $60. The village had a well that provided water in the past but for the last 8 months had been pumping muddy unsafe water. Our  GOW# 6 was set up to remedy the situation and provide Bahadurpur with safe, clean and potable water once again. This well serves the water needs of approximately 450 people.
