This well is located in the village of Showberia in the district of Medinipur, West Bengal, about 110 kilometers from Kolkata, India. Our well serves the need of 60 families living in the village. The well is 400 feet deep and a submersible pump has been installed to pump the water to the homes of the families.Water from the pump is primarily used for cooking and drinking.  Most of the homes in this village are made from mud and clay though a few have brick walls.  Daily labor is the primary occupation of most of the inhabitants of this village.
